Am having a lazy afternoon, enjoying a bottle of Rioja that I brough (i.e. smuggled) back from Spain and watching the Olympic trials for the US men's diving team. Which means that I'm watching a lot of very good looking men in very, very tiny Speedos.

Not that I'm all that interested in diving, but I never had anything against very nearly naked

Vacation was absolutely amazing. Thankfully my cold finally let up while we were in Cordoba and I was really able to enjoy the rest of my trip. Madrid is one of my favorite modern cities to visit because it is just so damn gorgeous. It seems like it's been forever since I posted anything here. Life has been a bit crazed the past few months and I just kind of got swept up in the avilanche. Between family, work and all, I've barely had any time for myself to breathe.

Today was baking day. Made several batches of madelines - some to take to work, some to give to my brother's family and some to keep at home. Also broke out the bread machine for the first time in a few years (it still works!) and baked two loaves of buttermilk bread. One of my coworkers in my department is returning to school to get her nursing degree and Friday was her last day in the office.
