reena's birthday thing was a lot of fun. miguel and i drove down to the valley the 28th, went clubbing, ate at dennys, then with miguel passed out i drove us back to sd. it was a pretty tiring trip, but really fun nonetheless. i was really happy to see reena again and i mean it's her birthday so it's always important to pay a best friend a visit no matter how short.
the week following reena's birthday was almost unbearable. i had a bio midterm monday, o.chem midterm tuesday, sociology paper due thursday and a physics quiz on friday. needless to say i was pretty burned out from the week, but i ended up deciding to pay the valley yet another visit for nica's birthday. afterall i honestly haven't seen nica since last september, as in 2004!
my friday was ridiculous. i had a physics quiz in the morning, went to work, caught a bus to my physical therapy mentorship, had miguel pick me up and drop me off at the train station, barely caught a train, rode the train for 3 hours, had reena pick me up, bought some subway, and visited reena's boyfriend louie all before going to nica's cousin's house for her birthday thing.
it was really awesome seeing some old and new faces. my coming home to the valley a second weekend in a row was well worth it. after nica's thing i spent the night at reena's house which was pretty nice cause we ended up talking up a storm and not sleeping till the wee hours of the morning. it was hilarious when reena's brother, ramil saw me the next morning since he had no idea i just had spent the night. reena's mom was so sweet, haha she made me breakfast while reena was at work. when she got back from work, i went with reena's family to this chinese restaurant for her aunt's birthday in alhambra. after lunch, reena brought me to the train station, just in time. i'd say these two weekends have been among the best so far. i'm honestly just really happy to have friends as great as they are.
