I'd been waiting for a new Bright Eyes record for ages and I've just listened through it a couple of times.
Gah, I'm kinda speechless right now, but I will need to inanely ramble for a bit. Bear with me.
The man's back with a fucking vengeance and I find myself grinning stupidly at every second lyric cause the writing hits me in exactly the right place, much like Digital Ash or Mirrors did. It's just the place is a little less painful this time around.
There's some real hope there, there's wondering and marvelling and curiosity instead of confusion and hurt and angsting. It's so fucking grown up in the right way. It's all a bit less etheral then Cassadaga and I like it better for that, it feels very grounded and centered and just...
