So shortly after you've graduated, we've suffered one of the worst attacks on American soil since Pearl Harbor. I'm sure whether or not you were in the military at the time, it has been a defining moment in your life. As far as I can tell, every minute you're in the military, you're sticking your neck on the line to make sure another attack doesn't happen. You're doing a job that I would not dream of taking. It's risky business. I'm sure that you and a lot of other people on your ship would rather be safe, with their families

Allen, you have every right to be ANGRY at what was said. Your thoughts about him asking all veterans would be a good thing to get his head out of his ASS!
The other response was right on the money as well! Not sure who that person is- but Hooray for that person.

I'm sorry anyone that is serving our country had to hear that little speach. Every person has their own level of tolerance for situations. His level has reached abusive. That's exactly why people like him shouldn't stay in 30 years. They can't see the forest for the trees. Just realize he is no longer in touch with the human factor.
