I work with UC students and some of the notes I get from them make me wonder about their SAT scores. One wonders why spellchecker didn't catch millenniums. The one on here didn't either.

Perhaps because the spellchecker is not as smart as our brains. I bet the NYT uses the same spellchecker. *wails*

What do you mean "Rats aren't rodents?" They're in the order Rodentia. That makes them rodents. Is it your local news outlets who are claiming they're not?
