After a few mishaps, I've arrived at Canterbury in England!

My flight from Colorado Springs to Dallas got diverted to Denver, thanks to an air seal that broke on the plane. That sounds dramatic, but what it really meant was that we couldn't reach altitude. The cabin wouldn't pressurize properly if we got too high off the ground. So we landed at ( Read more... )

Yep, I grew up in Colorado. Amazing mountains and pine trees and wildlife, but no massive cathedrals! Also no buildings that were used over a thousand years ago (maybe excluding some in Mesa Verde). So this place is perfect for someone who's interested in history.

Thanks for your compliments on my pictures! There's more coming soon. : )

I'm sorry about your grandmother, I hope the distance isn't too hard on you.

Glad to hear you got there safe, Canterbury is amazing isn't it? When I was there with my family we had the most amazing tea in the centre at Tiny Tim's Tearoom I think it was called. A bit pricey but god, so worth it XD

I also know what you mean about things seeming more real in 'Ye Olde Worlde', it never tires for me.

The distance has been a little hard, but I'm doing better now. It helps me to remember that Grandma's family came from here.

I'm definitely planning on having tea at Tiny Tim's Tearoom. My friends and I will have a little tea party there. : ) LOL, I love "ye olde world." I want to travel around Europe some more. And then go to India and China...
