More Impressions of Great Britain

I’ve been home in Colorado for about a week and a half now. I wish I’d had more opportunities to write while IN England, but I was busy sightseeting! I also wasn’t able to get onto the Internet during the last part of my trip. On the bright side, I’ve now had the opportunity to compare the United States with England (and vice versa). If there's one thing this country really needs, that's it. What's your opinion on why we don't have it? I mean, it's probably pretty obvious to everyone, but I'm just curious what you think.

Oh yeah, I'm all for the public transportation too. I've never been to Europe but I know if I ever went I'd cry. It so should be this way in America too. There's no reason for a single person to be driving anywhere, and yet it's the norm rather than the exception.

LOL, you probably would cry if you went to Europe and saw their awesome trains. I know I almost did.

Where do you live? Do you have buses, at least? Where I'm from, we barely even have those.

Again, this is so interesting to think about! Though I can't identify with places that well, I think we're still a lot more similar to Britain. (I can't wait to go there! And America, one day.)

Probably a very stupid question - I feel like I should already know this, or I actually do already know this and can't remember at the moment, but what are you studying? Something historical, no?

My brother and his girlfriend got back from America the other day, and I have to say food left the biggest impression on them. They said that everything was covered in cheese, and they didn't see many vegetables. Though that could be where they ate...
