My photography expedition

This weekend, my housemate, a friend, and I went on a photo expedition together. The two of them are studio art majors interested in photography; I do digital photography as a "serious" hobby. We wanted to take pictures of the autumn leaves near Cripple Creek, CO. They were absolutely beautiful this year, more so than they've been any other year. ( Read more... )

This is the best thing about living in CO. This place is PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY for about a week and a half every fall. :P

I used to hate autumn, but the aspen trees won me over. : ) Except it stinks when the leaves just turn brown and fall off, sort of like what they did last year.

Yeah, that's always really depressing.

I think it was like that last year. I didn't get any good pictures then. : (

Love those pics! If Colorado is even half as pretty in person, I'll definitely have to vacation there sometime.

Arizona, aka the state with no autumn. I had a friend move out of state, and she told me how she spazzed out when she actually saw the leaves change color. XD

Wow, those are really pretty photos!!! And I like that term, too. "Photo Expedition". Sounds exciting!

Thanks!! I used to call my photo expeditions "trips" or "hikes," but that was a lie. : ) Photo expeditions are so much fun.

Hi Brenna,

I'm so glad you had such a good time taking photos of the aspens on your photo expedition to Cripple Creek and Victor! I'll add these to my iPhoto library and am looking forward to seeing them on the digital photo frame too. I think the clouds added a "cool" dimension to the "atmosphere" of the photos. :0)

Love,

Dad

Thanks Dad! I'll send you full-resolution versions for the photo frame. I'm glad I finally got to share them with you! You should have been there to see the west side of Pikes Peak. I almost couldn't believe it.
