Best American Short Stories

For class, I have to read a few stories from 2007's Best American Short Stories. The 2007 anthology was edited by Stephen King. That obviously influenced the kind of story that got selected. They're all about aging, death, horrible moments in life, and so on. I love reading them--they're really good. But honestly, should it really have the title "

I don't really know. It's definitely a good thing for the authors who got picked, but I guess it depends on the people who consider such stories to be "Best American". Everyone has different opinions...
