It doesn't get any better than this...
...so I'm opening up the download site to people who want to beta-test MultiLJ.

Wrapping things up
So far, so good... I'm touching up minor bugs here and there and at the moment, I'm resigned to the fact that Help won't work in Windows Vista - not my fault, frankly, Micro$oft changed its Help format when it released Vista. Progress made, but one flaw...
Well, I've been working on this one for a while. I've got custom friends groups running, and not just perfunctory support in the posts - full management, at least for the most part. Taking care of a fly in the ointment
One of the standing problems I've been having is that occasionally, the web browser (whether visible or invisible) would send up a message that a script error had occured. Answering whether one would like to continue running scripts or not would make no difference as far as MultiLJ was concerned ( Read more... ) -

I'm currently working on the Help file for MultiLJ - most of the time, I've seen pretty atrocious Help on programs, especially free ones, and I want this one to be an exception. Finally!
I finally solved the problem of logging into browsers (like the friends page, journals, and so on) that should be automatic once one has logged into MultiLJ. I was thinking that the key was to obtain a session cookie from a function called SessionGenerate and somehow sending it back to LiveJournal, but that wasn't working at all. Redefining browser wars
Well, the bad news is that I've rewritten the browser code several times over to try to get it to accept the session cookie that LJ is sending me, all to no avail. I've ended up putting in a suppost request to the folks at LJ itself onthis one, as even the people at the lj_dev community aren't speaking to me on the matter. One minor tweak!
Just on a fluke, I made a slight change in the challenge-response password code - removed a function that trimmed "blanks" from the challenge and response that I was sending back to the server. Net result: I was able to log on (as I am now).
Now to fix the session cookie - I don't think that will be that easy...
