Yesterday I had to take some shots of a new nail system for my sister (the nail artist/nail technician/spray tannist/reflexologist). They are bio sculpture gel enhancement fabrication addition...shine...er...things. I rather enjoyed having the opportunity to take some shots to a brief...although light was a problem. The photography is lovely...

The nails in the second photo do not actually look very good, as a woman who ocassionally indulges in having her nails done, that would not instill confidence in me. I am not sure why, they look dirty and the finish looks bumpy, perhaps it is the shadows?

I wasn't criticising your sisters skill at all, just saying as an image, the second one would not sell her skill properly, because of shadows I guess.

I do know about the gel nail procedure, much better then standard acrylic, in my mind.

Emma prefers acrylic, strangely. I know precious little about the processes and histories of them. I'd rather spend my money on books and have mucky nails ;)
