Evolution might be neatly and misleadingly simplified by saying it is random mutation in the form of copy error as worked upon by cumulative (being either natural or artificial) selection in self-replicating molecules.

well i believe that's the current standard explanation going about in scientific circles.. i've been doing some research into evolution lately and have discovered some interesting things..

can you believe that you and i are cousins, probably well removed, no matter what race we are or where we come from?.. well believe it because it's true!.. according to the laws of evolution there must have been, probably in the recent geological past, some single person that is the forfather of all humanity.. this person was probably a man due to the biology of the thing (men who have lots of children generally tend to have more children than women who have lots of children) but that's beside the point.. it's strange to think that you and i, be you african or aboriginal australian or really anything, are distant (and oftentimes not-so-distant) cousins.. sounds like an argument against racism to me!..
