Another burning question: Why is Kouryu's robe so short? o_O

At least I'm not the only one who noticed. I think that Koumyuu is a bit of a pervert! Well ALL monks and Sanzos are. after all they have the secret sutra - the Karma Sutra. Heh heh. Sorry long time joke between me and shinigamifan! Contests would be fun. But we'd need to have them theme based.

I think all the whatever-Kouryuu-is that live at the temple have robes that short. Like when the Sanzo-ikkou went to that one temple out in the boonies with all the stuck up monks that Koumyou had visited before. Yo (or whatever his name was) had a tiny little robe, too.

Themed contests would be fun, as long as we could get a good number of submissions.

Lol, I think they're all that short. The older monks must think they should at least have a view to enjoy if they took celibacy vows or something. *Rolls her eyes*

Actually, fun fact - in ancient Japan, Buddhist monks considered the vow of celibacy to mean not having sex with women. ;)

What should be the prize for the contest...cause i can think of alot of themes...hey that would be a neat thing to have polls for the theme of the (week/month/squigglyblat) o_o;....but yeah prizes...hmm

Isn't it well known that they, in ancient Japan, have young boys to serve the older monks in 'some ways' or another... Therefore, that may be the reason for the 'short' robe.

But not that I'm saying that Yo is one of those boys as they usually keep their hair and I'm also not saying that Kouryuu is one of them too as I believe that Koumyo treats him like his son.

By the way, has anyone seen that Gunlock (forgot which) episode where Kouryuu stood in the rain begging for alms... aw such poor thing...
