New job starting soon. Hopefully I get at least a couple weeks of UI soon. Hopefully it's actually direct deposited and they don't actually send out a physical check. I DO recall filling out the forms initially with bank and routing information so that's not a totally unreasonable expectation.

I use Ubuntu exclusively at home now; it's been fairly pleasant, occasional hardware issues aside.

I've thought about that. Thing is, I do still play games on the PC. True, I could get something to emulate a Windows environment, but that's probably an even bigger pain than trying to run a dual boot. Right now, if I go that direction, my question then goes to how much space I'd like to allocate to which partition, at least out of a 500 GB drive.

Of course, the big clincher for going exclusively Ubuntu is well, it's free. at which point I wouldn't have to drop additional money on another installation of XP.

Yeah, my PC gaming nowadays is limited to Diablo II (which runs fine under WINE, btw). And it does have out-of-thebox really good windows emulation (which is good because the UI for GIMP and Blender are frigging AWFUL).
