Friendship in all its forms

Thursday I rescued a new friend of the four legged variety. She's as sweet as she can be and clearly grateful for her new home and family. Unfortunately she came with unwanted beasties (ticks) with whom I had no prior experience. Had a major freak out calmed with a large dose of understanding from my friend (two legged variety) 10,000 plus miles ( Read more... )

You go! I rescue all animals with four legs or two (birds). Ticks really do suck--and literally. I'm glad to know you're not only charming but an animal lover.

TC with the new one.

Thanks, Me for the kind words. Charm is my favorite benefit of crazy.

Kensington(Kensi)started sneezing like crazy today. Made an appointment for her with the vet tomorrow so please, send a good thought for her to the universe. FYI: Never, ever look up symptoms on the internet...

Just a quick note to ask how Kensi is. You didn't (or I'm blind) indicate if she's a pup or a cat. Yeah, sneezing sucks. Much more for cats, usually. Cats generally sneeze for a reason and not pleasant ones.

Do let me know and I am thinking of you and your little friend. And of your kindness toward her. Hope all will be just a bit of medicine. AND? Ask vet (if Kensi's a cat) if they have a liquid for anything's prescribed. It's usually the same cost but they don't think to offer. I've pilled any dog I've ever met but cats take exception to shoving a pill down their tiny mouths. Try it, anyway. And I'll be thinking of you both. Thanks for taking care of another little beast in this world.

Kensi is an @ 2 y.o. Malti-Poo. She's white w/apricot markings(mainly her ears). Diagnosis: Kennel Cough. She prescribed little bitty teeny tiny anti-biotics. She let me drop them down her throat without fuss. She's a star!

She's asleep on the floor and my boy Paddington(Paddi)an @ 2 y.o. Bichon w/apricot markings(again mainly his ears)is asleep on my bed. I rescued him...well we rescued each other...last May from the same shelter. He's a pure bred and a stray. He must have been a foreclosure casualty. He's a pillish little love monkey. They are almost a matched set. She needs to put on a couple of pounds but he did too. Now he's a hefty 14 lbs. :0)

Thanks for the good thoughts Sweet Pea, you're the best. All your loves (beasts included) are blessed to have you, I'm sure.
