Some minor accomplishments....
$150 in 2 days for grocries....
At least I won't have to do that again since I had to pick up the nessities and a few other things.
So we're well stocked.
Bills aren't due for another week, thank the gods. I may actually get through the week with some $$ left in my checking account.
Roomate is paying rent on the first, so that will help. I'm hoping ( Read more... ) -
Still taking shape....
Things are slowly continuing to take shape at the new home.
I now have curtains in the second bedroom for my roomate....
The TV for the living room has still not come in as of yet. When it does I'll start posting pics. Right now it looks like an empty hole above the fireplace.
Things to do on my days off,

So I slept like a dog in a coma......
No more leaking diswasher, everything works.
I even managed not to use the heater today. I set it at 62 degrees and it stayed at 71. I think today's warm weather helped. I'm also wondering if the lady downstairs must be blasting her heat.....

Things you learn on Thanksgiving......
1) how not to eat too many appitizers beforehand
2) how to make sure someone in the family isn't drinking so there is a designated driver.....
3) That 3 year old kids are nature's birth control
4) to get home before the dredded turkey coma sets in.

Moving Day
I wish I could say all went well today. I don't think anything is broken.
Still minor problems. We couldn't get the dryer vent hooked up to the dryer.
We couldn't figure out how to hook up the return hose to the washer, so doing laundry is out.

Minor bumps in the road.....
As with any new place, you start moving in and finding things that weren't done right and need to be fixed.
The dryer vent in the celing is too close to the wall and I can't attach the hose going from the dryer to the vent.
The handle in the shower came off, master bathroom.
The one in the guest bathroom comes off as well.

Closed on my new home today! Woot!
I am officially a homeowner.
Went over there today and got some things in the house. It needs minor cleaning, just the kitchen sink.
The one thing I pulled out that made the place mine; a small wine rack and 2 bottles of Vampire Vineyards. Yep, now it's home.
Now, into the "What the fuck were you thinking" column......
