Fic: Seven for a Secret

First of all, Torchwood series premiere = MADE OF SOLID AWESOME. I love Capt. John, I love the Jack/Ianto progression, I love that the team are pissed at Jack; it's everything I wanted. And it looks like the rest of the series will be, too, if it's going to tend towards a lot of character backstory revelations. (My favorite kind of plot ( Read more... )

I read this on FFN and I loved it there, and i love it here. Really well written, I especially loved the Destruction one, oddly enough though each one was excellent. Your writing makes me look at my own and groan in dispair.

IT's late now so I can't give too much of a review, other than that I thought it was awsome and yeah, Torchwood was pretty cool.

Coolness. I love it all.

This makes me hate Desire just a tiny bit more. Accurate though.

I think the writing is fantastic. I really love how you piece your sentences and paragraphs together. For me, with no knowledge of the Sandman, I tried to think of it as an episode of Dr. Who but it felt more like one big Dr. Who dream or acid trip. Beautiful imagery but if there were meanings to each piece based on the titles, I didn't understand it. But that's probably just me. I know you asked if it were understandable to people who only knew one fandom but I wouldn't use me as the definitive test. Is the Endless every one of the people he encounters?

I'm not the author, but s/he hasn't replied. The Endless are seven siblings: Destiny (the man he encounters in the relevant story), Death (the girl he talks to), Dream (the man he encounters), "Destruction" (the man he talks to), Desire (the hermaphrodite he talks to), Despair (the grotesque woman watching), and Delirium (the POV girl).

Woah. Well, it's not entirely understandable to people who don't know the fandoms (beyond the wikipedia enteries and one episode of Torchwood) but, damn, you are totally a descriptive goddess, you know that?

Fantastic!

Torchwood is shaping up well. More color and more backstory is much appreciated.

Desire is such a bastard.
