2.5 inches overnight! (Those from northern climes can STFU right now. The last time it snowed and stuck in my neck of Mississippi was over 10 years ago.) It was still snowing at 7:30 and pristine until about 8:30, but then the clouds broke up and the sun came out... It's about 60% melted right now, at 10:45. I've been out all morning, though.
The view out my window at 8:30
The parking lot behind my dorm
The roof of one of the oldest dorms on campus
Car with a snow blanket!
The trees have Christmas lights left on them year-round; I halfway wish they'd been turned on
This is actually a tree growing up out of the center of a bush
So pretty! Snow-covered tree tunnel. The wind was insane, the drifts of snow off of the trees were slapping me in the face while I was trying to take this.

Getting more artsy now
Buried berries
Footprints
Fenced-in sky
Icy mulch
Snowy magnolia behind Welty
Tree in front of Parkinson
Sad flowers
Sepia
Hand grasping upward through snow
Myself reflected in Parkinson's windows -- longsleeved shirt, hoodie, wool coat, two scarves, two pairs of pants, gloves, hat! Pathetic Mississippian is not used to the snowy cold.
Some of the bushes looked like they were covered in white flowers
Wind drift
Okay, we built a snowman on the trunk of my roommate's car. At first we couldn't get its little rope of chocolate to stay pinned upwards in a smile, so this was supposed to be the Mexican Snowman with an awesome mustache. Unfortunately, it just looks like he's frowning.
So we put a little more work in and made the chocolate stay upright. :)
It's 1:30 right now and it's all gone except for some specks here and there in the shadows of buildings and big trees. :( But it was fun while it lasted! I did not get a lick of work done this morning, but who cares. :D
But NOW I need to do some work.
