I'd feared the worst, but Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted on all charges. As he should damn well have been. If the DA had had his wits about him, or (likely) hadn't been under considerable pressure from Those Above, he wouldn't have been charged. That DA should get what Mike Nifong got---disbarred, sued and prosecuted. A long stay in Castle Graybar would teach him a thing or two.
It's time and time and long past time that these so-called "peaceful protesters*" were put down, good and hard. My ideas involve gunship aircraft, quad .50s, and flame-throwers, but that's just me. I've been roughed by a mob once, and it still gives me nightmares.
I hope that Mr. Rittenhouse sues the guys he had to shoot, and their estates, before they can get in civil suits against him. That way, their scum-sucking bottom-feeding lawyers have to work for free, and if he gets results, even though he'll never see a penny from them (can't get money from a stone) it'll make it a lot harder for them to sue him.
I'd also love to see him do like that Covington kid did, and sue the media outlets that portrayed him as a racist and a vigilante. If it were me, I'd sue every one of those assholes, and unlike the Covington kid, not settle out of court, but take them for every last penny I could. If I could drive them to beggary and bankruptcy, that'd be just fine with me. I hate those people.
You may ask: "But, my lord, why do you hate the news media?" Well---for one thing, as I've said here before, they all march in lockstep, and they all sing from the same goddamn songbook. Given how deeply the country is divided, you'd think at least some outlets would have been pro-Trump. But their personnel are all deeply ensconced in their urban-liberal mental bubbles, and honestly can't grok how anybody could have turned up their noses at Hillary, or think that Joe Biden's a corrupt, senile, pants-shitting old fool who should be in a nursing home, and whose worthless son should be in a triple-maximum-security prison for the rest of his worthless life. If the United States' body politic was a human body, the Democrats would be a brain-rotting, insidious, malignant cancer.
They're very selective about what news they present. During the Rodney King thing, they played a few seconds of video, showing the cops swarming King, over and over again. They deliberately left out the earlier parts, showing King fighting off the cops again and again. They also deliberately left out that the other two (black) passengers in King's car, who did not resist arrest, didn't get a finger laid on them. And that's not the only example. Derek Chauvin did not, from what I could tell, have his knee on Fentanyl Floyd's neck, more on his shoulder. But the media-trash made him out to be "another innocent, INNOCENT, do you hear us? black man killed by racist honkey cops," and the fat was in the fire.
Every one of these "martyrs" that have had riots go off over them ("peaceful protests," my left big one! The media's definition of "peaceful" apparently includes trashing, looting stores, setting huge fires and beating up anybody the mob doesn't like the look of!) was dirty and deserved what he got. Resisting arrest is a crime, fools. If I tried what these fools tried, I can assure you, my shiny white skin would not save me. I'd get manhandled at the very least, and if I kept up resistance successfully enough, I'd get killed.
Trayvon Martin was committing assault with intent to commit murder.
Freddie Gray ODed.
Tamir Rice pointed a very real-looking toy gun at a cop.
Rodney King was breaking his parole, driving drunk, and driving like a goddamn maniac.
Michael Brown tried to grab an officer's gun.
George Floyd ODed on Fentanyl after trying to pass a counterfeit bill.
All of the above, save maybe Tamir Rice, also had crime records that look like the Newgate Calendar. A fine bunch of heroes and martyrs!

* I've been on peaceful protests. I've got a picture around here somewhere or other, of me out with some of my friends protesting the income tax and a bunch of other taxes. I'm the one with a sign that says "Death to the IRS insect that sucks the blood of the people!" What can I say? I've got a weakness for the classics. In any case, we were peaceful. We didn't trash anything at all. We didn't loot, or even steal as much as a candy bar. We didn't set anything on fire. And we got no results. Maybe we were doing it wrong?
