and it's very cool

all the kids got her one for xmas, but it was back ordered and the auto upgraded her to the new version

if i wasn't getting all my books "free" from paperback swap, i would so get one...
but, since i've only bought 2 books since i've been on PBS, i think i'll stay with the "old fashioned" way!

Yeah, PBS is pretty awesome. I do love holding, smelling and reading a real book. The vids of the Kindle look pretty amazing however. I would cry if anything were to happen to my electronic book collection however, even though Amazon backs it up on their site, it's waaaay too expensive in any case.

I know people who really, really love them. But I really am a hardcopy kind of person, I like the feel of paper in my hands, and I like being able to add notations and whatnot to it if I want.

That is one of the cool things about them, you CAN make notations, and do all sorts of searches and lookups and all sorts of crazy stuff!

Not that I can afford one...
