And the lovely part of HPV is that an unknown number of men carry it (between 70 and 90%) but they can't treat it in men, so they don't bother to test. So even one time unprotected can give it to a woman, and she'll never know it till it does something. I was "lucky" enough to learn this the hard way. Of course, something like 60% of women have it in their bloodstream, and very few ever develop cervical cancer OR warts. Mostly it's detected as an abnormal pap smear. Gotta love all the scary statistics. And most people pick up HSV1 as children. I know I did. I'm even now enjoying the fruits of that, with coldsores all over my mouth and nose as I type. On the bright side, the men that have raped me have at least gotten a little something for their time I hope.

yup, there is no 'test' for HPV in men, unless they have warts. Although I was reading that some of the strains can cause penal and anal cancer in men. Also most women's bodies get rid of the virus on their own. They can do a PCR test on a swab from your cervix, called a Hyprid II capture, that can tell if you have HPV, wether or not you have abnormal PAP cells or not.
LOL
*hugs*
I hope so too.

Also note the fact that uncircumsized men are more likely to pass on HPV than circumsized men

as well as HSV, because the foreskin hides the blistering....they may never know they are infected. Not that I am an advocate for circumsizing. You just need to be extra careful when you are not.

yup.
I'd say circumsizing is a good thing, just for the fact that some diseases are more common to the men that arent, as well as some diseases are passed more easily then the men that are

I do not agree, I know in AZ, the Navajo-Hopi sweat lodge, the males are not allowed to enter unless their foreskin is tied with a red string.....
I just don't think it should be mandatory, but if it is not done, then proper care should be taught.
