the more I begin to question whether or not it will really all work out in the end. I wish I knew the answer to this and many of life's other little questions like what is the point in living, if we're all going to die eventually anyway? ... but alas, I will never know until it happens or when it's too late ( Read more... )

I suppose the point in living is that life is a gift and it's much too short to do otherwise? No matter what we believe in, we're all allotted a certain amount of time on this Earth, and it's up to us to make the best of it and milk every drop of enjoyment that we can out of it. We are faced with adversity, and we can either lie down and let it destroy us, or we can face it down and continue living, and learn from the adversity that we have gone through. When I think that so many people are faced with war, and hunger, and things like terminal cancer, and go bravely through it and cling to every single day and fight to keep living, I personally get the sense that my own problems and fears aren't so insurmountable after all. It's like they say, "If human beings did the things they are capable of, they would be astonished." The problem is, we all have the temptation to just let things pass us by, or not attempt them because we think they are too challenging, or in my case, because we have a fear of failure. I gave in to that fear ( ... )
