I like a blend between 1 and 2. The crsipness (to borrow a term) of one is really important for the 'centipede' so you can see all the little squiggles. Also the crispness of the warrior's armor make him look sharp, deadly, ready, etc. Giving the other monsters, who don't have such minute detail like the filiments on the centipede, a blurrier look is better as it adds an otherworldly quality to them. Making them seem ghostly or ethereeal. In the end I'd go with 1 over 2 if a blend could not be reached.

I like the first one, because the guy in the middle is sharper and therefore stands out better.

#1... Although Uji's back foot looks like it's floating for some reason...

I actually like Uji best in #1 and the oni's best in #2 because that way Uji stays the focus of the picture. But overall one is better because Uji looks better in it.

I'd have to say #1 is better, however you need to arch the sword movement in Uji's left hand in the other direction. Otherwise he is slicing nothing. If it's bowed in the other direction, it connects with the carapace oni. Also, the armor on his left leg looks drawn, you need to extend it beyond the shape of the leg. I partially agree with whitefoxx; Uji needs to be emphasized. If you're going to blur, just blur Bonez and Gluttony. That make Uji the center and bring out the detail of the Pede in the foreground.
