Good thing I never started on that blanket... I finally learned how to increase and decrease in knitting though, so maybe someday I will move on from scarves.
:) This is such an exciting time for you!
When my Mom had her youngest child, she had enough clothes for 2 years because a lot of her friends were smart and bought stuff for the older years as well. It was crazy.
It is really exciting... and also tiring, and expensive. *grin* I tend not to post when I'm down, so I hope people aren't getting too skewed a perspective of the whole pregnancy thing. Oh well.
My shower provided some stuff for ages one to two, just not as much as for the first year. People are so nice, sometimes.
We're thinking about Isabella Kiyomi, and on the off chance that it's a boy, Ezra Masami. (Kiyomi and Masami are family names of Spouse's, Isabella and Ezra are traditional names with biblical meaning such as my family tends to use.) And as a concession to Spouse, both have the "z" sound of which he is so fond, weird man that he is. What do you think?

I wish I could have been there. I love hearing these new mother stories. I remember when it happened to my sister. The wonderful thing she did was that she said that just because I'm physically unable to become a mother, that didn't invalidate me as a person or a woman. I'm so glad things are going well for you and your husband, and I still love your posts! They sound so real and so personal and so... just... you. I feel like I'm starting to get to know you. It's like we're sitting on a bus or train together, getting ready for a long trip. Hugs you!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I keep my LJ just for personal stuff, so I'm trying to remember to always cut my posts, especially these long ones, but it's nice to now that someone enjoys them
( ... )
Wish you could've been there too, but at least I get to see you soonish. And you'll be around to see the baby after it comes, which is more than is true for any of those in Oregon.

I am glad it was so fun, and trust me, you will go through those clothes quicker than you think. Kids grow FAST!
Hope to be seeing you in a week and a half. *kisses*
