To answer my own question, while I probably couldn't pick a favorite, The Bell Jar is the book I've read the most in my life, and The Enchanted Forest Chronicles are my favorite books from childhood.

well, as for favourite authors I'd say: Terry Pratchett, Agatha Christie, Markus Heitz, Charlaine Harris, Kim Harrison. When I was a kid, I loved Enid Blyton.
