We were elite in high school, early college, with LPs and limited-edition releases and obscure names; memories an inch wide and a mile deep of bands and shows and terms. I feel the same way. Even if you learned all you could ever learn about American music say, there's still that whole genre we like to classify as "world music" which I have absolutely no clue about.

Yeah ... and that 'genre' is actually the vast majority, even if it gets a teeny corner in record stores, and American music is really just a little exception that's become dominant. I'd say it's weird, but it's not exactly shocking.

thats a riot, raven. haha! you arn't talking about music anymore are you? i'm currently a student at a private jesuit catholic university on broadway and i'm attempting to expand my mind via mind expanding books as aposed to mind expanding drugs. nietzsche and i have come to similar conclusions regarding all that stuff we have.
