She's actually an amazing pick. I'd probably support her over McCain. While she lacks foreign policy experience, she has one thing none of the other candidates or vice-candidates have: Executive experience. They're all legislators, whereas she's been a Mayor for two terms and a Governor for one
( ... )
Yeah I wasn't trying to attack her inexperience, I just felt like she maybe had even less experience than the Dem. contender. I want to get more information, however.
This was a fantastic summary on her and I agree on every point. I thought she was a perfect pick.
She has a lot of experience running things on smaller scale, and honestly, I think that counts for a lot, especially since I personally don't expect McCain to kick the bucket.
I was happy to note several dems I know respected this choice and while disagreeing with her politically, saw how she could add very well to the ticket, especially from a conservatives point of view. (McCain being declared surprisingly blue for a red, she balances that out more and also takes away the young vs old argument on both sides)
And he now looks even more old and decrepit. She's a first term governor. Foreign policy experience? Try any experience. Mayor McCheese would make about as much sense.
The consensus is that she was chosen to lure the Clinton voters. Because the only reason anyone supported Clinton was because they had a uterus in common. Not, like, you know, actual reasons. Like guys have.
