i actually kind of brought up the subject myself, once i heard about game day. well, i'd heard about it in the past, and had always meant to look into it as a thing to attend (or possibly attend-as-guest) but had never gotten around to it.
this time around, though, when i heard about it, i made sure to ask. so i kinda just got worked in. they probly just accepted me since William O'Connor and Wayne Reynolds aren't local. :p
i'm way curious to find out how things are up here, too! i have really no idea what to expect. Neumos is the official location, and it's a much bigger-deal game day than usual... but still, who knows? they didn't seem to really spread the word very much. though, at the same time, i don't know that i frequent any of the places they might spread the word.
we'll see. should be fun regardless. and i'm certainly looking forward to it, and looking forward to playing the demo and catching up with and/or meeting more of the designers/writers. hope the Comic Book Ink event is fun!
Oh crap. You know most folks dun pay attention to icon names or meanings... It was just the...darkest/gothiest/game-iest icon I had. I wanted to be one of the cool kids. *laughing*
This time you get 'wall pr0n', because I dun get a chance to use it much any more, & GUH!, and because what's going on down below, outside the view of the icon is...cool. *hoots*
I could 'glomp' you too, s'just...blowjo*b WINS, right?
but i guess... in a way, according to the very concept, everyone has everyone's GURPS right here, no?
i look forward to your visit! and i miiiiiiiissssss baby girl! she'll be past paper chewing, and on to hardback game book chewing, and i'll have missed it! maybe i should give her the corner of my PHB front page to "sign"* while we're there.
on that subject, i direct your attention to this precious little story:
an account wherein a father plays D&D preview module with 7 year old son: http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=397944 (make sure you click on the link to the lego images, too!)
Pete Venters ran across that link and passed it along, and i think the story is precious.
