Devin was....larger than life. And I mean that in every good way possible. He didn't just take life by the balls, he swung it around until life did what he wanted it to do. He came from a really shitty background (his dad died when he was 12, and he was all his mom had left, plus she'd been sick for a bit lately) and yet he managed to not only succeed at school, he excelled. The man did what no other UConn student has ever done before--when he graduated this past May, he graduated with 5 different degrees. Not MAJORS, mind you. He had 5 diplomas from UConn, plus 4 minors. He had double the number of credits needed to graduate, and he was headed for NYU for grad school this fall.
He was someone you could count on if you ever needed him, and even when you didn't. He was just always there when needed.
my condolences

Hi, I had the pleasure of talking with Devin several times at UConn and he told the funniest stories and was really just the sweetest and most personable guy. Even though I wasn't close friends with him, I am still devastated by this loss and I can't get over the sadness of it. I wish all my best to his friends and family during this difficult time.
