I don't shine if you don't shine

I have recently become mildly obsessed with The Killers and totally obsessed with this video - it's awesome, you need to see it!

I just want to say, I do not know WHY Sam's Town got such bad/mediocre reviews, it's actually really really good. Every song has its own sound and the lyrics have a good storyline and great depth. This is obviously why ( Read more... )

I COULDN'T AGREE MORE! :P

Last night I was watching VH1 and Rob Sheffield (the Rolling Stone guy who gave it 2 stars -- but gave Paris Hilton 3) was talking a lot on some episode, and every time he would come on, I would think to myself: "I'm supposed to believe you?????

What a jerk. That album is great -- I don't know why people have been so critical of it.

I'm sorry, I must not have heard you right, he gave Paris Hilton a 3 and only gave The Killers a 2?!!?! That is disgraceful and all-together appalling . . .

I know what you mean because, (and I'm embarrased of this now) I read those reviews and was like, well I'll see maybe I'll just get the singles, you know? but you had recommended a few songs to me, so the other day I decided to go on an itunes binge (this is how I cope with reailty) and I got all of them plus some others and I was just like *whoa* because they're so good! and they all have a very unique sound. I'm so upset with myself that I took those reviews seriously!!!

I have to say nothing (by The Killers) could ever beat Hot Fuss. That was a fucking genius album! And I wasnt a Sam's Town fan at first, but it gets better the more you listen. It just seems to lack a certain magic, so while its awesome WHEN I listen or WHEN it comes on my iPod, I just never get the desire to listen to it by my own accord!

OMG London in TWO. DAYS. *Goes to your London thread* x xx

hmmm, I definitely feel that way about a lot of albums. I definitely feel that way about Hot Hot Heat and The Clash. which I feel bad feeling that way about The Clash, you know? but they just don't strike me with the brillance most people seem to see in them, same with the Sex Pistols' music, I find their story more interesting.

LONDON!!! LONDON!!! LONDON!!!
*eeeeeep*
