The Bruise, The Wardrobe and a Goose
During the first couple of weeks at uni all the sports and societies try to get people to join them. This ends up in taster sessions à la carte. Pretty much you can go to any sport and try it, without having to buy membership. And this is exactly what I've been doing, and also resulted in a very colourful me. A little recap of my week:

I miss your updates. Choir-wise, isn't there a non-gospel choir around? If you just go a searching for them, I'm sure you can find something that fits your tastes better.
On the other hand, if you did enjoy the gospel, and the music is fun to sing, then go for it! If it's just the lyrics that are religious, I'm sure you'll learn to live with it - I sing plenty of religious stuff (admittedly mostly in Latin and cool languages like that), but don't really reflect over the lyrics.
