So the local 'con is that nifty? I've not been all that interested in it, because there wasn't anyone whom I absolutely had to see. But if you had that good a time, I might have to go next year. Especially if you've got a booth. ^_^

Also: everything you suspected about "Prometheus" was true. Since Giger's stuff squicks you, do not see it. Also since you've given birth. *SHUDDER*

Yeah, I spoiled myself on Friday, I wanted to give Ridley Scott a chance because he is such a great storyteller. Apparently he went for the cheap gross-out instead, which is *really* too bad. Everybody on my Twitter feed who has seen it has been bitterly disappointed.

One of them said "It's obvious somebody has been watching too much Japanese anime tentacle porn."

That sounds very cool. I miss smaller cons for reasons just like you mentioned.

What technique did the people want?

Leather molding using a face cast. I really don't know how to do the casting. Molding the leather would be easy (he wanted a Batman cowl) but I have *no* idea how to do a face cast and I am not going to attend the School of YouTube for a first-time commission.
