The week of (frantic) costuming

Most of you know, I took all of this week off to do nothing but get caught up on many things.  I got up at 6 am and crafted until 9, 10, sometimes 11 at night.

I loved it.  I need to make Neroon LeatherArts my main source of income so I can do this *every* week.  That's a long way away though.

So, here's what I accomplished:

I think we will cut an impressive figure together! Cut out the faulds for the first 4 layers of the skirt about 10 mins ago, tooling now :)

All the pictures I have seen of the strap do not have buckles and it's a braid. I already bought the leather lace to do it (it was on super sale!) So My suggestion would be to take a look at where it hangs on Sean Bean. I think it hangs closer to the waist than the hip (else it would get in the way of the shield).

If it comes down to it I can put in a buckle.

Also, do you want me to affix the mouthpiece so it won't come out?

And sure they'll look at the costume. The rest of it is just as awesome.

The mouthpiece comes off like it would if it was a real instrument (inside voice: it is!).

I believe the braid is not tied on but is woven around the rings and then woven into itself so there's no chance it will accidentally come undone in the middle of combat. If you want, I can tie it onto the end closer to the mouthpiece instead of weaving it into itself so you can adjust it.
