Title:
Ginny Weasley looked up over her plate of sausages to glance at Harry Potter; she wished sometimes that he wasn't who he was, that he didn't have to be brave beyond his years. She wished he could just be like any other young man his age, but yet she knew that she wouldn't want him to be any different than he is. She just wished he wasn't as noble as he was either. She quickly glanced down after daring to stare for at least five minutes at him.
"Ginny?" Ron walked up to his sister after breakfast. "Are you alright?"
"Yes," she lied. There were so many things that weren't alright in her opinion. Not only was she upset by the death of Hogwart's Head Master, Professor Dumbledore, but to top it all off Harry broke up with her. She knew she shouldn't have got her hopes up in a real hope that she and he could actually be anything but she did. She knew Harry was upset beyond words over Dumbledore's death and that in a way he blamed himself for the death and came to the conclusion he couldn't let Ginny be any part of his life, especially as his girlfriend out of fear of her safety.
"Ginny," Ron hugged his sister, "it's all for the best, and who knows maybe someday he can love you and let you love him."
"When Ronald," she spat, "when he's hurt or even dying?"
"Maybe that's when he'll really need you Ginny," he looked at his heartbroken sister caringly. "Maybe things will all be fine in the end when you-know-who is really gone."
"Maybe," she said more so that Ron would leave her alone than to have really believed it. "When are you going to let Hermione know that you love her?" she asked changing the subject away from herself.
"What?" Ron looked at her in disbelief. "You know about that?"
"Of course I know Ronald," she rolled her eyes, "everyone knows."
"Bloody hell," he sighed. "Does she know?"
"Don't be stupid, Ron. Hermione is one of the smartest people I know if she doesn't know then there is something wrong with her, but you shouldn't care that she knows because she loves you too, dimwit."
"Really?" he looked at her in disbelief.
"Yes, Ron, really!" Ginny giggled. "Only you've just been too blind to realize it."
"Then why hasn't see said anything to me?"
"I don't know, love makes you do stupid things." She laughed at her brother, and then pointed out that Hermione was headed in their direction. "Tell her1" she nudged him in the side.
"Now?" he looked frightened, as Ginny just nodded to him before she walked away to leave Ron and Hermione alone in the hall.
"Hi," Hermione said gently as she walked up to Ron. "Have you seen Harry? I'm worried about him."
"I haven't seen him since breakfast; he said something about wanting to go for a walk alone to clear his thoughts." He answered. "Um," he cleared his throat, "Hermione, would you um..."
"What is it Ron?" she looked at him strangely.
"Would you like to," he couldn't find the right words he was looking for so he leaned in and kissed her before he could lose his nerves.
"Ronald Weasley?" Hermione looked at him taken back by his actions. "Does this mean what I think it does?"
"I think so." He replied quietly before leaning it to kiss her softly again.
