Strange Happenings in the New Place

What would cause a light bulb to burst with water? I've been pondering this question since it happened a few days ago.
Overall the new place is fantastic, heat, hardwood floors, a yard and a place downstairs to wash the mountain of laundry that fills the tiny closet.
