From 31st December 2009 the government intend to adopt the Codex Alimentarius, which could be used to make all vitamins, herbal preparations and supplements available on prescription only, from your GP!!!.

I depend too much on my glucosamine, evening primrose, vitamin C and agnus castus to take the risk, I've signed and if No 10 think I'm silly, at leat they know what I think.

I already get my Evening Primrose Oil on prescription, two and a half months at a time. This is significantly cheaper than I'd pay if I had to pay for it. However, there are many who's GP's are not as convinced as mine is about the efficacy of it for breast cysts, and who therefore need to buy it for themselves.
I may end up asking the GP about prescriptions for my glaucosamine, and possibly for a soya supplement for heat-waves relief. But if he doesn't want to give me a scrip, I need the alternative of DIY.
