I also finished NaNo, but have not come anywhere near finishing the story. But hey, it's a great start, having over 50,000 words, isn't it?
Anyway, whenever I mention that I did NaNo and have that much written, a certain quality of people are impressed. The rest wouldn't be impressed no matter what I do.
Do you know, I've not read any of the books you've listed above, and at the very least, you'd have thought I've had read Oliver Twist, considering that I dragged my way through Great Expectations.
That's very true (all that you said about NaNo). I know what you mean, though, about books. It still amazes me that although I've read Pale Fire, Despair, and Invitation to a Beheading, all by Nabokov, that I have never once read Lolita. It is on my list to read, though.
By the way, I had a very hard time getting through A Tale of Two Cities, but have never read Great Expectations. Oliver Twist was a much faster and easier read than Tale of Two Cities -- so make of that what you will.
