Ahhh, yus, they are. It's always where characters realize their True Feelings! And the stoic characters get Worried! xD It's fun.

Awwwww..! ^__________^ I love the way you showed differences and similiraties between both pairs. And I really like Renji/Ichigo here (I adore ShunUki, of course - but it's nothing new, I like your style of writing and the captains are my OTP): it's definitely too rare pairing. I know that for the most of fandom Renji "belongs" to Byakuya (and I get it, I like this pairing too), but the dynamics between Abarai and Ichigo is also interesting and they would make a cute (although probably very quarrelsome ^^') pair.

And I agree with you completely. :) I like ByaRen too, but a some of my friends have gotten me interested in IchiRen too. I was surprised to find that it wasn't that popular of a pairing...

And I love this moment when Renji says “… he almost killed yah.” I'd love to see this fic as a doujin (or at least - this scene as a picture <3).

What do you mean you can't write fluff? I find this exceptionally fluffy! So cute! I am all warm and fuzzy inside now. The whole atmosphere with a war going on but those four finding some minutes for each other. Lovely!

I wasn't quite sure if this qualified as fluff or not. ^_^ Considering people were injured. But I'm really really glad it gave warm fuzzy feelings! That's what I was going for! Thanks so much!!

I thought it was kind of fluffy, too. I liked seeing how you wrote the two pairs of them and how the scenes compared and contrasted. And, yes, I think Renji and Ichigo would look pretty cute sleeping in that hospital bed, too. ; )

Yay, I'm glad some of the fluff came through. :) I'm really glad the comparison came through too! That's what I was going for. :) They're very different pairs, but similar in all the ways that really matter. Love :). And hehe, I think it's a cute mental image too. ;) Just because sleeping is the only time you'd catch it, haha.
