Hahaha. In a way, that was my intention, because Byakuya kept seeing a dead!Renji in his head. But I could never kill off someone's favorite character in their birthday fic, so. xD

Of course it was Ukitake offering support xD It's so him. *ruffles his hair* There was supposed to be a comforting!Ukitake scene in the fic for tommorow, so I'm going to have to change that around a bit xDD

I love that kind of fics if they are well written, and yours definitely is! SO MUCH IC for all the characters, and the perfect retrospection, and all... Loved it.
