Rent-a-Dildo.com

No comment necessary. (Courtesy of vashra.)

EDIT: Okay, apparently some comment is necessary. I'm quite confident this is a parody site. And that odd-looking front page image? I think it's from a prior Netflix ad, only of course they were holding a remote, not a dildo.

I don't think they'll manage to break the ick factor barrier. Any bets on lifespan?

Haven't looked at it very closely, but I find myself wondering if this is a parody site...

So it's basically NetFlix, but with sex toys.

Like, NetDix.

Obvious ick factor aside ... I wonder if this gets around the laws in some bible belt states making sex toys illegal?

Nope, just makes it a federal crime, trafficking of contraband across state lines =]

The same way you can't, say, live in California and buy firearms-that-are-illegal-in-CA-and-not-elsewhere over the web. You still must comply with all regulations in the delivery area... Hm, the laws also deal with "posession" rather than "ownership," so you can't weasel out by claiming it's "not really yours."

"Use of the Rent-a-Dildo service and this Web site constitutes acceptance of our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy."

Except they don't *have* Terms of Use, or a Privacy Policy - because it's a parody site. =]

Anyone who thinks it's real is either gullible, or wishes it were real so they could use the service :P
