Silence Is Sometimes Golden

So, it's been how long since I last posted here...?  March, ouch!

I have an excuse, or rather several, which I beg your indulgence to explain.  Firstly, I've started a post-grad degree, a Masters in Research studying Strategic Resource Management.  This is an Environmental Management course run by Nottingham Trent University.  I've literally just ( Read more... )

Very true. There is just a very special feeling you get, that can't be replicated anywhere else, by going up on stage and play a few tunes to people.

Mmm. It is one of the things I regret, that I never learnt a musical instrument when I was younger.

Blimey dude, you really need to stop sitting around and do something.

Seriously that's a busy life you've got going on there, I'm glad. So how far along is the documentary? Will be seeing your musical stylings any time soon?

Strategic resource management sounds difficult, is it any fun at all?

I know I feel like I'm wasting the days in front of the telly. :)

It is busy. At the moment, a little too busy, I need to cut back on some stuff, probably the publicity officer part, as I'm not very good at it and I don't enjoy it.

The documentary is hopefully going to be released this Xmas. If you'd like a sneak peak at some of the music, you can find a few tracks here:

I haven't heard from Dave, the guy filming it recently, so I don't know whether or not he's finished the filming or not.

SRM is fun, I promise! It's really an environmental management course, but it is wrapped up in slightly managerial corporate speak. It's a mix of theory and practical that I like and hopefully my second year project will be something related to my job, to give it that extra oomph.

If you're not enjoying yourself as publicity officer it might be good to back away from that if you can without letting them down.

Cool beans, I'll check that out. So how is the documentary coming out. Will it be on tv, online, spliced into the middle of A christmas carol?

Excellent, I'm glad you're enjoying it. It must be good to have something to make you more excited abotu your job, last time we spoke you were a little less than thrilled about your career future.
