cheshire23 and I spend our Fridays in the rural area southwest of Albany, NY doing disaster recovery work. It’s been a year and a half since Irene and Lee drove through the area, and while it looks nothing like what it did in the immediate aftermath of the storms, there’s still a long way to go. Your volunteer work must mean so much to the people you help, and thanks for such a clear reminder that the aftermath of disasters lingers on for years, long after most people have forgotten.
