The kids in my high school seemed to know better, maybe because I grew up in Eugene and not a small town in a more socially restrictive area. And I'm not young!

Pulling out, though... is about as effective as the Rhythm Method. Which is to say, total roulette.

I grew up in a town where a vast majority was Catholic, meaning that Onan was the Patron Saint of See What Happens When You Ignore That Monty Python Song, if you catch my drift. They put so much of their condemnation into birth control was that they didn't have any left to tell kids not to have sex.

In short, our county spent several years in the nineties with the number one teen pregnancy rate in the country.

It's really ridiculous the BS we feed kids, and a lot of it is more damaging in exactly the opposite direction.

This made me chuckle a bit. Any advice for a fellow parent on what sort of information I should be giving him and at what age? I don't want him to fall prey to those myths.
