Yep, I know. Long time between posts. Mostly I don't post because I've been so negative with what I do have to say and who wants a downer in their group all the time? I'll endeavor to keep this light. I think that's the right word? Which is of course a good segue (which I hope is spelled right and also has to do with my thought process) to the

b-I have Snape loving Lily as early as 2002. Many argued with me, but I stuck to this plot.
c-I have Norbert as a girl. I got a big grin on my face reading this in book 7.
d-I have Lupin undercover with the werewolfs. Get your minds out of the gutters!
e-I have Snape ALWAYS on the side of Dumbledore, but hating the double life he was forced into because he was the one to give Voldemort the info on the Potters. I had him asking for Lilys life as well.

Writing is a job as well as a labor of love. I'm not sure people realize how much work it is, but it really is. It takes drive and dedication. Fanfiction is one form of that; original fiction is something else. The differences are vast and this isn't the place to go into it, but I'm not sure that one translates seamlessly to the other... separate disciplines.
Of course, this is just my opinion. I think everyone should write exactly what they want to write whenever they want to write it.

If you want to write your own story/book/whatever, then you should. Just the fact that you're agonizing over it so much shows that you have the passion. I can't help you with much else, since I'm a procratinator myself, and someone who makes excuses. You'll have to find your own strength.
The offer of free housework is still open, tho now that I'm working, it'll be harder. Should have got me when I was unemployed, LOL.
I'll have to disagree with Angua about one thing. (Ooo, that's scary, to disagree with the Great Iguana. *bows low* I'm still your minion, don't beat me!)
Anyway, I think you should finish "Ancient Prophecy", just to prove to yourself that you can finish something. If you get that finished, you'll show yourself that you are capable of finishing something, and it'll give you impetus (sp?) to start something new.
