I feel like a very odd fan...

I think I'm the one who cares more for the cast having to say goodbye to the films than the actual films themselves. I felt a bit of sadness when I read Alan Rickman's letter to empire magazines, as well as reading the quotes and transcripts from the red carpet premiere. I almost started crying at my work desk when I read Ruper Grint's quote. I ( Read more... )

In twenty or thirty years, they'll be filming remakes, and most of the old cast will probably be given cameo appearances.

(Or they could cast Rupert Grint as Dumbledore and Danielle Radcliffe as Snape. That would be awesome...)

Oh gosh! I hope they don't do that. I'm already sick of the remakes being made now. (Though Grint as DD and Radcliffe as Snape would be interesting.)

Honestly speaking, you're not alone. I don't care for the movies either, nor do I are when I see them. The latest possible date is usually when I go. But I do know how the cast feels, having been in the same position, saying goodbye to a group of people I've known for what seemed like eternity.

I'm probably going to see it in the next week or so since my boyfriend wants to see it. The other thing is that I pretty much said my goodbyes when Book 7 came out back in 2007, so the last film doesn't really seem like a goodbye to me.

I love the LOTR movies, but yea, I heard there was a lot of differences compared to the books. I'm still trying to read the Hobbit and am planning on reading the 3 LOTR books. I just have a huge problem with procrastination, but I will get this done one day! :D

I've been hearing some good stuff about The Prince's Tale and Lily scenes. Those are some things I look forward to when I do see the film.

Um, no it doesn't sound weird at all, really. Truthfully, I feel the same way. It really isn't so much saying goodbye to the films for me (I don't know if I can endure another HP film, and the ones that have already been made can always be rewatched, revisisted). It is the cast. Especially not seeing them together as much anymore. That's actually what I met in my picspam by saying ''this is my childhood.'' It was the cast I was referring too. I love seeing them together because they reslly are a family, not just coworkers.

Other than that, I don't think I care that much about DH2 or when I see it. Does that sound weird? O_o

Weird it is not. I aint seeing it 'til August, hun. I'm not that desperate!

P.S. I'm really thankful you went ahead and said this. You're actually the first. Thank you.

I'm kind of sad about both. That picture of Emma Watson crying at the premiere just kills me.
