A terrible moment that stretches on

I have not posted about the ruling on Prop 8 because, until now, I've been unable to bring myself to do so.  I'm not sure I can say much that hasn't already been said ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry.

I was *shocked* by the amount Yes on 8 shit I've seen in San Diego (signs, stickers, people on street corners) in the last few weeks. I knew San Diego was conservative... but this? It's hatred, and it's *everywhere* here. It makes me seriously question the city I've chosen to live in, and if I really want my children growing up here...

I've been thinking of you a lot this week. Hugs to you...

Please also remember the xtian crowd bussed in some thousands and thousands of people for a passion play at the charger stadium. Purely non political you understand. just a coincidence.

I seriously think there should be a proposition on our SECULAR law sheets that BANS churches form politics. OH WAIT THERE IS.

The IRS are asleep at the switch and given the ZERO cash our federal and state budgets have, you'd think they'd be like hounds after a fox.

Wow, that seriously sucks and I'm very sorry ot hear it. I'm also very sorry to hear the trainer didn't stand up for you. Yes, that person is a customer, but he's got no right to make you feel threatened or to verbally attack you in your workplace. There are laws prohibiting that sort of thing. If you have HR I highly suggest discussing it with them. This guy needs to be checked, hardcore.

This is 100% true. Feeling either threatened or verbally abused in the work place is 100% illegal if your employer or anyone else for that matter does nothing to stop it and make sure it does not happen again. Sad to say the other person is also at fault here in the eyes of the law.

I don't know what his HR would do (and I assume that they couldn't assist you anyway, since you and he don't have the same employer), but see if you can buy the guy a coffee (I am a fan of that high road you mentioned) and make sure you get it through his skull that OF COURSE it's personal, it IS abuse in the workplace, and that if he allows it to happen again, you will take legal action against his client and himself. my two cents.

and for what it's worth, to me, you and marla will always be married.

What I mean to say is that she can let HR know that she was threatened in her workplace by a client. The last thing they want is an employee taking legal action against the gym because management failed to address a threat to an employee.
