Of the dead, and dead tired...
Home from Mom's rather earlier than I thought I'd be and thankful for it. We had a lovely, albeit bittersweet visit. She pulled her usual "here take home some random food from the pantry" thing and spotted me a few bucks for some necessaries I'd not realized I was going to need before payday. We love Mom. Losing Control and Gaining Ground.
Through a short series of fortuitous events, I wound up at the point at Horseneck Beach, for a little while, today. I stood for a few moments and looked out at the water as it rolled and foamed up the rocks on the beach. The wind blew chill and salty-fresh across my face, and through the thin shirt I was wearing. I didn't really notice it this morning when I went out for my walk in the cemetery, but now...with everything else...
The streets were unusually quiet for that hour. EVERYTHING was quiet. No pedestrians at all, and the few cars I saw were speeding over Oak Grove Ave...headed toward the highway, now that I think of it.

Naming my car...
I"ve decided I need a bit more time to decide on a good name for the car. I got a few submissions and I'm considering them carefully, as well as combinations thereof, possibly in other languages. Feel free to add to the list if something strikes.

August 25th! Yep, you heard me. Curse Of Eden is throwing a debut bash on August 25th. This is a semi-private event aimed at marketing the band. Not sure what the ticket price will be yet, I'm guessing not more than 10 bucks or so ( Read more... )
