You know the drill...

Homework, distraction, existential guilt over not posting, etcetera, etcetera.  Pretty sure you're all used to me disappearing by this point.  Been since the very end of August since I posted, and I think my reading dropped off... sometime in late October, maybe?  Long time, anyways.  I'll skip back to the beginning of the week with my reading, but ( Read more... )

sleep? what's that?, i'm back! again

It sounds like you're really busy.

Having seen The Producers it never would have occurred to me that it required hat many costumes! What a great experience for you (although hetic I would guess).

Oh, yeah. It's mostly a fun sort of busy, though.

I hadn't realized it had so many costumes, either. The trick is the chorus, there are something like six big musical numbers/crowd scenes (not counting reprises) with between six and 24 chorus members, and different costumes for each... put that on top of multiple costume changes for the leads, and a decent-sized supporting cast... yeah, it's a big show.

The Nazi musical comedy numbers! Of course.

I had the pleasure of seeing it with Nathan Lane/Matthew Broderick. It's a solid show with any cast, but those two were sheer perfection.
