Salem: "Cat and Mouse"

This show confuses me on so many levels. The plot unfolds in fits and starts, with plot-lines introduced and dropped at random, only to be picked up again when I least expect it. I'm having a hard time getting interested in this, the premise was promising, but its just all over the shop. I haven't lasted as long as you have with it.

I've much preferred the creepy Penny Dreadful, which plays with different stories (Frankenstein, Dorian Gray) as well as vampires, possession etc in a much more consistent way. Plus it has Eva Green!

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't recommend it, but there's only a few more episodes so I may as well stick it out.

I've seen a few interesting GIFs and pics from Penny Dreadful, so that'll be the next thing I check out (so many shows, so little time).

The subject matter - witches and salem - piqued my interest, and also I'm interested in what sort of projects Janet Montgomery ) does, as I am with the rest of the Merlin cast (although I'm not particularly interested in Eoins medical drama)
They could have done a much better job with this. I'm not sure it will be getting a second season.

Actually, they have! The first few episodes got surprisingly high ratings (apparently the highest the network has ever got for a new show) and so it was green-lit for a second season pretty quickly. That said, interest seems to have petered out a bit since then, so perhaps the second will be the last.

In any case, Janet didn't have much luck with her first series (Jersey Girl) so at least she'll get at least one more season out of this.
