Eight episodes in, and there’s finally been an episode that I’m only lukewarm about. That’s not to say it was bad by any means, but parts of it didn’t quite live up to the quality of its predecessors.
Wouldn’t this have been a more fun subplot if Porthos went to great lengths to deceive her, only for her to tell him that she’d known what he was up to the whole time and was just stringing him along because of how amused she was by him?
I was waiting for this to happen! I was very surprised and disappointed when it did not. This show is smart enough to have pulled something like this, and they should have! It would have been much more interesting, and would have amounted to a more interesting character in the widow if she knew what Porthos was up to but wasn't particularly bothered by it since she was enjoying his company anyway.
Obviously the Break His Hear to Save Him breakup was suitably traumatic for all involved, though played surprisingly straight. I kept screaming at my screen, telling Constance to signal D'Arty somehow, or go after him to explain once her husband wasn't around. It's what I'd have done

I think "transition episode" is the best way to describe it. It feels like everyone's been set up nicely for the final three episodes.
She is probably my favorite character in the show; she lights up every scene she's in, and the actress plays her really well (and she reminds me so much of Lena Headey in appearance and manner!). I loved her confrontation with Athos.
She's fantastic, and I'm surprised I haven't seen her in anything before. It's just her whole demeanour that makes her riveting, and she wears her costumes so beautifully. It's hard to explain how exactly; maybe just the way she moves in them. I can't wait to see what she's got in store for the finale.
Constance's husband gave Milady's flower pendent to Constance before he learned of her affair - "A present for you my dear"
I believe Athos, D'artagnan, Milady and Constance are going to be central to the series final - along with the Cardinal of course - which is why Aramis is more central next week.

Oh, is that what that was? For some reason I thought it was a completely different bracelet.
In that case, it still might come back into play at some point.

It was clearly a pendent Mr B gave to Constance but I just assumed it was Milady's, I could be wrong though. The scene wasn't brightly lit..
Milady is clearly going to be central in the series final, juggling the Cardinal, Athos and D'artagnan.
